Ambleside Retro Music Festival is thrilled to announce its return, August 14-16, 2020, with an expanded lineup of top talent and a fresh, new look and feel. Set in West Vancouver’s stunning Ambleside Park, the event will showcase three days of musical performances by some of the biggest names in rock, ranging the 1960s through to the 2000s.
Presented by GSL Group, Ambleside Live and The Social Concierge, this year’s event boasts classic bands who hold a combined 28 platinum records, 23 gold records, six Juno Awards, and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, April Wine. Top acts include: Aldo Nova, April Wine, Dennis DeYoung and the music of Styx, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Glass Tiger, Harlequin, Haywire, Nazareth, Prism, Three Dog Night and Trooper.
Offering more than just great music, Ambleside Retro Music Festival has expanded its onsite experience to include the Neon Lounge: an ’80s-inspired VIP lounge and cocktail bar with private chalets, a gourmet menu and a prime viewing platform; as well as Stage B: rocking a DJ-driven, ’90s-mixtape vibe, coupled with live dance performances, top ’90s MCs and giant screens that flank this second stage, high-energy platform.
“We’re thrilled to be returning to Ambleside Park for our fourth annual music festival,” says GSL Group President & CEO, Graham Lee. “Because of the continued and overwhelming support of our guests year-over-year, we decided 2020 was the perfect time to grow our event’s onsite amenities, talent line-up and the festival experience overall.”
Ticketholders can also expect a seaside array of popular food trucks, a vintage car show, interactive art installations and a Retro Post Office complete with vintage-inspired postcards to sign and share.

Full weekend passes begin at $179 and VIP tickets to the Neon Lounge are available for $449.50 (all purchases are plus tax and service charges). Single Day ticket sales and Ambleside Retro Music Festival’s talent schedule will be announced in April 2020.

Ambleside Retro Music Festival has partnered with Ambleside Live to bring you this one-of-a-kind event. One of the most picturesque settings in Vancouver, Ambleside Park has hosted iconic Canadian classic rock acts Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, Randy Bachman, Nazareth, April Wine, Blue Oyster Cult, Platinum Blonde, Trooper, Loverboy and many more. In previous years the park has also hosted concerts by Kenny Chesney, Ed Sheeran, Tegan & Sara and Lilith Fair. The festival grounds will once again offer food trucks, drinks, and VIP access. Patrons are permitted to bring their own lawn chairs for this all-ages event and with in-and-out privileges, guests are welcome to enjoy the beach and amenities available throughout beautiful West Vancouver.
