Pink In The Rink on Feb 24
Planet Youth Hockey combines the skills of Canucks' alumni and the Planet Ice facilities of GSL Group to provide to ice time and training for youth in British Columbia.
Graham Lee created the idea behind Planet Youth Hockey. Realizing the opportunity to play hockey was out of reach for many youth in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, Graham Lee approached the Boys and Girls Club of Vancouver; Planet Youth Hockey was created with the help of the Canuck Alumni, who provide their time for coaching and the NHLPA, who provided the equipment. The concept of this program is to offer at-risk kids the opportunity to play hockey, with the end goal of helping get kids onto the ice and off the streets.

Victoria Royals will host the club’s seventh annual Pink in the Rink Night this Saturday against the Portland Winterhawks in support of the BC Cancer Foundation (BCCF), presented by Speedy Auto Service.
Pre-Game & Prizes to be Won
Lanyard Giveaway: The first 2,000 fans will receive a Pink in the Rink Lanyards courtesy of Speedy Auto Service. Royals’ Ticket Pack Holders including Season Tickets, Half-Season Tickets and Fan Packs, will have first access to the lanyards from 6:00-6:30 p.m., by showing their Gift & Giveaway Card to staff at Gate 1.
Win a Free Trip: The BCCF will be selling raffle tickets at Gate 1 for a roundtrip flight for two to anywhere that WestJet flies in North America. All proceeds go to the BCCF, and the winner will be announced post game.
Silent Auction for Custom Converse Shoes: A pair of custom made special edition Royals’ Pink in the Rink Converse shoes, courtesy of Baggins, will be available via silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the BCCF.
Win Maintenance Packages: 10 lucky fans chosen by a random seat draw will win maintenance packages from Speedy Auto Service.
Colour Your Hair Pink: At Gate 1, Great Clips will be providing free pink washout hair colouring prior to the start of the contest.

Post Game
Head Shaving for Fundraiser: The Royals’ Director of Ticketing, Devin Mazur, will shave his head live on ice following Saturday night’s game in support of the BC Cancer Foundation.
